Innovative practices shine at Qingdao Haiqing Tea Courtyard
The Haiqing Tea Science and Technology Courtyard in Qingdao, Shandong, recently made history as the first national-level rural professional and technical association science and technology courtyard in the Qingdao West Coast New Area.
The Haiqing Tea Science and Technology Courtyard, located in Haiqing town, Qingdao West Coast New Area, serves as a bridge between universities, research institutes, and rural communities, facilitating the sharing of cutting-edge theories and technologies to improve agricultural practices.
This courtyard, nestled within the Longtai Tea Farm, spans 300 square meters and is home to 11 experts and three graduate students. It has developed important practices such as Haiqing green tea and black tea processing techniques, earning the trust of local tea farmers.

Under the guidance of this expert team, 150,000 new tea tree varieties have been cultivated, addressing the various challenges faced by the Haiqing tea industry. The courtyard has played a pivotal role in setting cultivation standards, assisting leading enterprises in establishing demonstration bases, and elevating the industry's technological landscape.
