Qingdao builds entrepreneurial blocks
Thirty-four blocks in Qingdao, a coastal city in China's eastern Shandong province, were listed among the 2023 municipal entrepreneurial blocks by the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security in early January.
Located at the heart of Shinan district in southern Qingdao, the entrepreneurship blocks provide entrepreneurs with a wide array of start-up services.

According to the head of a coffee shop on the Yinyu Lane, one of the entrepreneurial blocks on the list, the block provides ample space for production, living and consumption, which is conducive to operating a business.
The Qingdao government has implemented policies on entrepreneurship to provide financial support for entrepreneurial projects, attracting more than 40 enterprises to the blocks.
"We encourage all regions to leverage their geographical advantages to develop characteristic industries on the basis of existing resources," said Hua Hui, director of the Entrepreneurship Service Department of the Qingdao Public Employment and Talent Service Center.
These entrepreneurial blocks not only enrich the city's entrepreneurship ecosystem, but also provide more opportunities for jobseekers and increase the incomes of citizens, Hua added.
