Urban renewal efforts boost marriage industry in Qingdao's Shinan district
Shinan district in Qingdao, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, has been seizing opportunities to boost the marriage market through the revitalization of old urban areas.
For example, Shinan district authorities have created a tourist route centered around Vows Square. This route features immersive performances and art exhibitions that create a romantic and exotic-style cultural landmark for marriage and love. In addition, the district has been attracting trendy shops and organizing characteristic bazaars to lure couples.
To promote the marriage and love industry, the district has adopted an industrial alliance approach and establishing the "romantic Shinan" brand. The ultimate goal is to position Qingdao as a pilgrimage site for love and a popular domestic destination for marriage and tourism.
To boost the marriage and tourism industry, Shinan district has launched a tour route featuring nine unique attractions. In addition to this, "love stations" have been established at designated spots.
The district is also planning to launch a marriage and love industry platform and collaborate with characteristic venues to drive the high-quality development of the marriage and tourism industry.
