The national marine science and technology grand market and the Shandong peninsula technology transfer (achievement transformation) service platform started construction on Sept 5 in the Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

At the launch ceremony, the Qingdao Property Rights Exchange, the China-SCO Technology Transfer Center and two companies signed an agreement to jointly build an ecological system for technology transfer and transformation.

As an important State-approved national coastal center city, a key node city along the New Eurasian Continental Bridge Economic Corridor, and a strategic maritime cooperation hub, Qingdao places great emphasis on the development of the marine economy. It is unwavering in its determination to strategically develop its marine resources and accelerate the construction of a leading modern marine city, said local officials.

To build the national marine science and technology grand market, Qingdao aims to transform its marine resource advantages into high-quality development momentum.

The city will build a technological trading ecosystem for marine science and technology. The comprehensive hall of the national marine science and technology grand market is planned to be established in the Qingdao High-tech Zone Entrepreneurship Building, where it will provide "one-stop" offline services for marine technology transactions.
