Shinan eyes bigger share of wedding tourism market
Shinan district in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province hosted a news conference to announce the launch of a series of wedding-related tourism events on Aug 22.
The purpose of these events is to brand the district as a romantic destination that rivals the likes of the Tianya Haijiao scenic spot in Sanya.
During the events, the district will upgrade its love-themed landmark "Eternal Wings" and hold the "Eternal Love" series of art installations.
Drawing inspiration from the seagulls at Zhanqiao Pier, organizers have created China's first large-scale dynamic art installation known as the "Eternal Kiss".
These events will also unveil a romance-themed tourist route spanning 13.14 kilometers. The route starts at Vows Square in the west and concludes at Yan'er Island Park in the east and will feature nine scenic spots.
In recent years, Shinan district has been promoting the integration of the wedding industry and the cultural tourism industry. This initiative has successfully transformed Anna Villa into a well-known destination on the internet.
According to the events plan, Anna Villa will host this year's Qingdao collective wedding event.

Furthermore, they will present the love-themed musical Love Blossoms at the end of September and host a "Our Chongyang" wedding anniversary celebration during the Double Ninth Festival.
