The 2023 Shinan Cultural and Sports Festival was launched on June 23. Leaders from the Shinan district government, along with officials from the Qingdao culture and tourism bureau and the Qingdao municipal sports bureau, attended the event. Representatives from 11 neighborhoods and members of the cultural and sports community were also present.

Running from June to December, the festival includes seven main categories: public performances, public training sessions, sports competitions, book readings, cultural exhibitions, special themes, and national sports events. With over 43 events and 1,000 sessions, residents have a wealth of options to choose from.

The festival aims to promote a more vibrant cultural and sports scene in Shinan, encouraging active participation from residents and showcasing the district's cultural heritage and talent. It also attracts visitors from both within and outside the city.
