The closing ceremony of the seventh China-Africa Youth Festival was held on April 23 in Qingdao West Coast New Area, with more than 100 youth representatives from China and Africa attending the event.

Lin Haibin, deputy director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, said in his speech that through the China-Africa Youth Festival young people of the country and continent have strengthened friendship and boosted exchanges and cooperation.

Through visits to several cities in China, the youth representatives of Africa have gained a full understanding of the remarkable achievements China has made on the new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country, and immersed themselves in the profound Chinese culture by personal explorations and cultural experiences.

Lin expressed hopes that the young people of China and Africa will work together to enhance mutual understanding and friendship and become the backbone of advancing China-Africa friendship.

A Qingdao official also introduced the cooperation between Qingdao and Africa in the fields of economic and trade investment, port cooperation and people-to-people exchanges in recent years at the ceremony.
