Naser Golsanami, a young Iranian scholar and associate professor at Shandong University of Science and Technology in Qingdao, is a researcher in oil and gas reservoir geomechanics and rock engineering fields.

In 2014, Golsanami came to China for the first time to pursue his doctorate degree. Over the past eight years, he has transformed from a student to a teacher, and witnessed the tremendous changes and rapid development in Qingdao, Shandong province as well as China in the new era.
