Since the establishment of the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Demonstration Zone for Local Economic and Trade Cooperation in Qingdao, many foreign business people have come here to do business. Mahdi from Iran works in China as a food salesman and recently shared his story about the Qingdao SCO zone.

"At the China-ASEAN Expo in 2020, I got a job offer to work in the Qingdao SCO zone. The Pearl International Expo Center in the zone started construction in 2021 and I seized the opportunity to settle in the expo center, which provides us with technical support, business road shows, information releases and other services, and helps our company to develop better," Mahdi said.

Mahdi now is busy attending the fifth China International Import Expo, which is being held until Nov 10 in Shanghai.

"This is the fourth time for our company to participate in the CIIE. This time the Qingdao SCO zone provides unified exhibition booth leasing, site design and other things for local enterprises, which provides us much convenience and helps us better grasp market opportunities," Mahdi added.
