The Qingdao West Coast New Area (WCNA) in East China's Shandong province received a total of 346,000 tourists during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, which started on Jan 31, resulting in an increase of 15.2 percent year-on-year.

According to preliminary data, a total of 306,000 tourists visited Qingdao Forest Wildlife World, Xiaozhu Mountain, Dazhu Mountain, Langya Tai, Tangdao Bay, Golden Sand Beach and Silver Sand Beach, which were among the seven most popular scenic spots during the holiday, an increase of 22,000 people year-on-year.

In addition, the Qingdao WCNA hosted a series of culture and travel programs such as a Spring Festival themed book exhibition, folk art performances and intangible cultural heritages exhibitions, and issued more than 100,000 volumes of various journals to the public to enrich people's life.
