The Qingdao Grand Theatre will present two consecutive performances on the evening of Dec 31 to welcome the new year.

Starting at 19:30 on Dec 31, the first performance, Dance Classics, will be presented by the Youth Dance Troupe of the Beijing Dance Academy.

This performance will bring together the best classical Chinese dance works selected from among the many excellent works that have been held since the establishment of the Beijing Dance Academy, which is known as the "cradle of dancers" in China.

Famous dancer Wang Yabin will also perform, showing clips from her classic fan dance show shanwudanqing.

The second performance, the 2022 New Year Concert of Oriental Symphony Orchestra, will start at 22:30. The concert will be a collection of classic pieces that will be familiar to music lovers of all walks of life, including indispensable Strauss family works such as Blue Danube, and The Voice of Spring, as well as Chinese classic and famous songs such as Jasmine Flower, Sing a Folk Song to the Party, and Yao Dance.
