Laoshan district in Qingdao has built an intelligent business supervision platform empowered by big data information technology to improve market supervision and build a stronger business environment.

According to the Laoshan district market supervision administration, the platform was part of the local government's efforts to explore new "internet + supervision + services" ideas and models to break information silos between government departments, maximize the integration of regulatory resources across regions, create a network of comprehensive regulatory services, and significantly improve the effectiveness of social governance.

The platform has been connected to 13 national, provincial, municipal, and district government systems, integrating more than 14 million pieces of dynamic data. Relying on massive information analysis, the platform can give a comprehensive report of market players evaluated based on revenue and illegal activities. It can also evaluate the credit rating and risk index of market entities.

In addition, the platform offers mobile terminal application for market entities, with 14 services areas covering credit repair, annual reporting, and intelligent consulting in a bid to provide targeted and accurate services for each market player.

The platform has now built eight functional modules for farmers' markets, elevator supervision, safety supervision of takeaway food, and more.

In the future, more functions will be developed to bring convenience to local residents and increase market supervision efficiency, said Laoshan district officials.
