Pedestrian streets enliven Qingdao's nightlife

Qingdao has launched a slew of measures to revamp and modernize local pedestrian streets as part of its efforts to spur consumer spending and investment in urban infrastructure and shore up economic growth.
The city has focused on improving transport networks, facilities and equipment, and greening projects along pedestrian streets in an effort to make the streets more popular, distinctive, and cultural.

An array of activities, from food tasting to live concerts, has been launched to entertain customers, foster new models of business, and improve the shopping experience.
Qingdao has also launched a number of night markets with a variety of themes, and invited artists and musicians to liven up pedestrian streets.
