(chinadaily.com.cn) | 2021-05-08

To increase its retail spending, the Shinan district of Qingdao city – located in East China's Shandong province – plans to upgrade its Fushan Bay international fashion business district. The goal is to accelerate the recovery of the Zhongshan Road business district, speed up the revitalization of leading and established brands and attract more of them to locate there and create a new landmark fashion district.

Shinan is aiming to move swiftly to upgrade its industries and to make advances in its economic development. Highlighting the leading role of the headquarters economy, Shinan will rely on tech-savvy and high-quality business carriers – such as the Haitian Center – to make progress. It also aims push to attract more than 10 regional headquarters or institutions, to establish a headquarters base for multinationals.

Under current plans the Haitian Mall, with a total floor area of 27,000 square meters, will be opened to the public in July. Meanwhile Qingdao's new commercial complex – Mianyang City – is also scheduled to open its second phase in the second half of the year.

Qingdao Haitian Mall is located at No 48 Xianggangxi Road. Although it is not located in the core business district of Qingdao, it is close Metro Line 2 and Line 3 – boasting formidable sea views, as well as an overwhelming panoramic outlook, which on completion is well worth looking into.

The operator of Haitian Mall – Qingdao Xinhui Business Management Co Ltd – has focused on the concept of an organic life and there are plans for nearly 100 consumer brands to be located there, with organic food brands accounting for 40 percent of the total residents.

More than 40 stores are planned in the second phase of the mall. They will cover supermarkets, catering, fashion, as well as digital and life services, among other things.

After the expansion of Hisense Plaza, plans are to introduce international first-class brands and an international exhibition center to boost the leisure and entertainment experience there.
