The newly-launched Qingdao International Business Club for Artificial Intelligence has already become a successful and powerful platform for boosting the city's AI sector.

More than 20 teams from a variety of industries have visited the business club in search of cooperation opportunities since it opened on July 31.

"A number of new economy enterprises are interested in launching new products and new technology here," said Wang Yeting, operation director of the business club.

According to Wang, products and solutions of nearly 40 leading AI enterprises, including Huawei, iFlytek, Sensetime, Haier, Alibaba, and Hisense, have been displayed at the business club, showcasing the most cutting-edge AI technology products and the future development direction of the industry.

The business club is located in Shibei district and has a total planned construction area of about 35,000 square meters. Its first phase covers an area of 15,000 sq m and focuses on exhibitions, business promotion, road shows, talent training, innovation, and more.

Its second and third phases are currently under construction and will help Qingdao foster a competitive AI cluster encompassing all industries and a suitable atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship, attracting capital, and software R&D.

The business club is meant to help Qingdao attract global partners to develop an artificial intelligence industry and build the city into the world's capital of industrial internet.

It is expected to inject new impetus into the city's high-quality development and facilitate its industrial transformation and upgrading, said local officials.
