A total of 28 projects worth 91.2 billion yuan ($12.89 billion) from Qingdao city will be promoted at the Second Conference of Great Business Partners and International Summit on Innovation and Development for Youth Entrepreneurs.

According to local officials, this is the first high-level event of the year aimed at attracting investment in Shandong by facilitating business and investment, promoting cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao, and expanding opening-up measures.

The event's main venue is in Jinan. Its sub-venues are located in other cities in Shandong province and Huanggang, Hubei province.

Local officials said that Qingdao will launch a special road show and business promotion activities. The city's districts, counties and industrial parks will also participate in the event to attract investment and facilitate cooperation.
