Shinan district hosted a recruitment fair at Qingdao University on June 16. It was the first recruitment fair held offline by the district this year.

Amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, almost all recruitment fairs have been held exclusively online, providing graduates with more convenience, but also leading to some communication problems and a failure to offer detailed information.

The district's bureau of human resources and social security has integrated both online and offline recruitment fairs. Graduates can register their personal information on an online platform, and the system will then help match suitable jobs and companies to the graduates and urge them to participate in offline recruitment fairs.

Around 30 companies took part in the fair, including Hisense Group, the Institute of Ocenology of the Chinese Academy of Science, and Qingdao Growful Group Pharmaceutical Co. They offered over 600 jobs in total and reached preliminary agreements with more than 180 graduates.

In addition, a consultation station was set up to help graduates better understand local talent policies.
