Qingdao holds online recruitment fairs

An online recruitment fair was held in Qingdao, Shandong province on April 28 under the joint efforts of the Qingdao municipal Party committee and the Qingdao municipal bureau of human resources and social security.
During the launch ceremony, Wu Xuexin, deputy director of the organization department of the municipal Party committee, said that skilled workers from around the country are encouraged to work and start businesses in Qingdao to pursue their own self-improvement and contribute to the city’s development.
A total of 4,155 job opportunities at 140 local enterprises involving the marine and high tech industries were provided at the fair, attracting over 1 million viewers.
During the event, officials at the municipal bureau of human resources and social security shared local policies on talent introduction, and representatives from several famous enterprises in the city, including Haier, Kutesmart, and HIGHTOP Biotech, provided information about their companies
The city plans to offer better employment services and attract more talents by establishing a talent database, hosting targeted recruitment fairs, and cooperating with major colleges around the country.
Five such online recruitment fairs are expected to be held in the city from April to May in an effort to help graduates find jobs in the city and relieve labor shortages for enterprises.
The next recruitment fair will be broadcast online on May 10 and involve the industrial internet and high-end manufacturing industries.
