Enjoy snack foods at Qingdao night market

(chinadaily.com.cn) | 2020-04-22

Lyujiazhuang night market, the largest night market in the northern urban district of Qingdao, recently resumed business as the novel coronavirus epidemic wanes.

The night market boasts an array of mouthwatering street foods that attract both locals and tourists. Grilled squid, spicy crayfish, roasted shrimp, fried sausage, malatang (numbing and spicy boiled foods), and grilled cold noodles (known as "kaolengmian" in Chinese) are among the most popular dishes.

The night market combines snacks, entertainment, and shopping and is home to over 600 stalls and snack bars.

The market has also taken strict preventative measures amid the epidemic, such as frequent disinfection, control on visitor flow and shorter business hours. Visitors are required to show their health QR codes and wear masks while at the market.
