West Coast New Area takes AI industry to new heights
Qingdao West Coast New Area, Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone, China's top voice recognition company iFlytek and Wuhan Optics Valley United Group (OVU) recently signed an agreement during an online video conference to jointly build the "AI + real economy" industry acceleration center and the iFlytek Future City in the Qingdao West Coast New Area.
A total of 12 high-tech industrial projects focusing on big data, artificial intelligence technology, internet of things and vision software were also signed into effect in Qingdao West Coast New Area.

The "AI + real economy" industry acceleration center and iFlytek Future City, located in the OVU Qingdao research and innovation center, will build a global online Chinese learning platform, iFlytek's Shandong regional headquarters, the Qingdao AI industry acceleration center, an AI college, and an AI exhibition center in order to boost local AI industry development.
IFlytek is well known for its transformative product development and intellectual leadership in the AI marketplace.
It signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Qingdao West Coast New Area in November 2019 to combine its strength in artificial intelligence with Qingdao's strength in industrial agglomeration in order to cultivate a group of artificial intelligence unicorn enterprises and train a large number of AI talents.
Qingdao West Coast New Area has been ramping up efforts to develop its online new economy, which employs an array of technologies like artificial intelligence, 5G networks and big data to transform and empower traditional industries. [Photo/qingdaonews.com]
