Students in their final year at senior high schools and secondary vocational schools in Qingdao, Shandong province began returning to school on April 15 after in-school classes for spring semester were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total of 97 senior high schools and secondary vocational schools in the city (except for those in Jiaozhou, a county-level city in Qingdao) reopened to students in graduating classes and are carrying out strict precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of students, including taking their temperatures, disinfecting regularly, and requiring students and teachers to wear masks.

Schools carried out several drills before reopening to ensure the safety of students.
