Print PrintTwo new-generation "floating castles", referring to TYPE 3 self-elevating support platforms, were recently delivered in Qingdao West Coast New Area and will be heading to the waters of the Middle East to conduct oil field support services.
The TYPE 3 self-elevating support platform is a multi-functional support platform designed and built independently by Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant Co Ltd, equipped with platform lifting and lowering, cargo lifting operations, self-navigation, accommodation, and other functions, so as to provide comprehensive functional support for oil extraction.
The platform's bow section features a high-end living tower with accommodations for 150 crew members, which can be expanded to accommodate up to 200 people if needed. The living area is constructed to the standards of a star-rated hotel, fully equipped with a large dining room, gym, meeting rooms, prayer room, and other living facilities to meet the leisure and entertainment needs of the crew. Some rooms also meet the personalized needs of crew members of different nationalities.
Upgrades and renovations were also made to the interior of the dining room, control room, meeting rooms, deluxe cabins, corridors, and stairways. Decorative lighting strips, edging, partitions, as well as paintings and carpets with personalized styles were added as beautification facilities. Additionally, upgrades were made to the flooring throughout the entire ship area, striving to create a "floating castle" at sea.
