Shandong's foreign trade up 3.1% in Jan-Nov period

Print PrintShandong province has reported robust growth in its foreign trade during the first 11 months of 2024. According to the latest data, the province's total import and export value reached 3.05 trillion yuan ($419.9 billion), marking a 3.1 percent increase year-on-year. Exports from Shandong province amounted to 1.87 trillion yuan in the first 11 months, while imports reached 1.18 trillion yuan.
In November, the province's exports of 173.79 billion yuan and imports of 115.28 billion yuan totaled an import and export value of 289.07 billion yuan, up 3 percent year-on-year.
Shandong's trade with major economies has also shown significant growth. During the first 11 months, the province's trade with ASEAN, the EU, and South Korea reached 620.45 billion yuan, 279.87 billion yuan, and 266.97 billion yuan respectively. Trade with the United States and Russia reached 293.85 billion yuan and 210.67 billion yuan, respectively.
Furthermore, Shandong's exports of mechanical and electrical products surged to 876.29 billion yuan in the first 11 months, demonstrating the province's strong manufacturing capabilities and technological advancements.
