The Sinochem Holdings building, a new landmark in Xiong'an New Area, Hebei province, has captured attention for its innovative use of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). The 150-meter-tall skyscraper is now adorned with BIPV panels provided by Yaoling New Energy, a leading Chinese solar energy company based in Linyi, Shandong province.

Yaoling New Energy, a pioneering solar company, has successfully integrated its BIPV products into the building's exteriors and rooftops. This innovative technology seamlessly combines energy generation with architectural design, offering a sustainable and efficient solution for modern buildings.

Compared to traditional solar panels, the BIPV products of Yaoling New Energy offer superior performance and a higher return on investment. With a light transmittance rate of up to 98.17 percent and a reflectance rate as low as 5 percent, these panels can efficiently generate electricity. Additionally, the payback period for the initial investment is typically less than five years, thanks to the consistent nature of the energy generation.

Yaoling's BIPV technology has set five world records and overcome three technical bottlenecks in the industry, making it the only product of its kind that can be mass-produced globally.

Its success can be attributed in part to strong support from the Linyi government for the photovoltaic industry. Yaoling New Energy has benefited from various forms of support from local authorities, including beneficial policies, funding, and land, laying a solid foundation for its rapid development.
