Shandong culture sees growing global appeal

Print PrintShandong has effectively harnessed the distinctive strengths of its culture, intensifying efforts to advance the innovation and preservation of traditional Chinese culture characterized by Confucian values.
On Nov 22, the Chinese Cultural Center of Belgrade, jointly established by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Shandong Provincial Government, welcomed a delegation from the Serbia-China Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Serbia.
"This year, after being officially unveiled and commencing operations, the center began helping the people of Serbia better understand China and immerse themselves in Chinese culture," said Zhang Aimin, director of the Chinese Cultural Center of Belgrade.
A new Nishan House was recently opened at the Confucius Institute in Sofia, Bulgaria by Mudan district, Heze. This initiative aims to familiarize more Bulgarians with Heze, a city in Shandong province, and foster a deeper appreciation of China and its rich cultural heritage.
The Nishan House initiative is meant to showcase Shandong's essence and promote Chinese culture, with over 70 international branches established across more than 30 countries.
In recent years, Shandong has made significant strides in international cultural exchanges, yielding significant outcomes in high-level visits, trade, education, and youth programs. The province has established sister-city and friendly cooperative relations with 685 cities in 105 countries.
