Liang Fengjun, Party secretary of the School of Northeast Asia Studies of Shandong University, led a delegation to South Korea to visit Hanyang University, Chung-Ang University, and Wonkwang University, and more from July 9 to 13, signing several strategic cooperation agreements.

At Hanyang University, the delegation held a meeting with Kim You-en, dean of the Graduate School of International Studies, among others. Liang briefly introduced the history, disciplinary layout, and international exchanges of the university and the college.

Kim expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to provide a broader platform for faculty and student exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on future collaborative research and student exchanges and signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

The delegation also participated in an academic conference focusing on the value chains and regional cooperation in Northeast Asia at Chung-Ang University. After the conference, both sides once again signed a strategic cooperation agreement, laying a solid foundation for deepening cooperation in joint research, student exchanges, and other areas in the future.

At Wonkwang University, the delegation, along with the Korean-Chinese Relations Institute, co-hosted a forum highlighting China-South Korea relations. With the title "Crisis Management and Sustainability in China-South Korea Relations", the forum aimed to explore cooperation and development in politics, economics, society and cultural exchange between the two countries, providing new ideas and momentum for the development of bilateral relations. Scholars from 12 universities and think tanks from China and South Korea attended the forum, delivering speeches and participating in discussions.
