On April 16, the Weihai News Media Center and Incheon OBS Gyeongin TV signed a friendly memorandum of understanding (MoU) during the Shandong Handmade Korean Exchange and Exhibition Week to promote media exchange and cooperation between the two cities.

OBS Gyeongin TV, headquartered in Bucheon, South Korea, is one of four major television stations in South Korea and reaches an audience of 26.5 million in the country.

The Weihai News Media Center, located in the city of Weihai in East China's Shandong province, is a full-media news organization integrating television, radio, newspapers, websites, and new media development. Its various new media accounts have over 40 million followers.

Under the MOU, the two sides will explore new cooperation models in program production, exchange training, new media dissemination, and the development of cultural tourism products. They aim to establish a strategic partnership to amplify Weihai's voice and share its stories with a wider audience both domestically and internationally.

This partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening media ties between Weihai and Incheon, fostering cultural exchange, and promoting economic cooperation. The collaboration is expected to enhance the visibility and influence of both media organizations and contribute to the development of their respective regions.
