A delegation of 64 teachers and students from the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) visited the Jinan Xinhang Experimental Foreign Language School on Jan 17.

Led by teachers and student volunteers, the delegation visited the primary school section to observe its facilities and educational achievements, gaining a detailed understanding of the school's primary education. They also toured the middle school, high school, student dormitories, and library areas, giving them an idea of the school's educational conditions and environment.

The delegation later experienced a Chinese language and culture course prepared by Chinese language, music, and art teachers. The course taught the delegation about local Chinese culture, including the Jinan dialect, the school, and the Spring Festival. They also had a chance to learn ancient poetry through music and finger dancing, and tried their hands at traditional Chinese arts such as calligraphy and painting Weifang Yangjiabu woodblock prints.

The visit provided an opportunity for both sides to engage in exchange and learning. The delegation learned about China and the internationalization of basic education and experienced Chinese culture firsthand.
