Shandong's express delivery industry sees robust development

Shandong's express delivery industry is rushing to deliver mails and goods with strict COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures in place, said local authorities.

According to official statistics, the business revenue of the province's postal industry reached 30.78 billion yuan ($4.76 billion) in the first half of the year, up 22.6 percent year-on-year.

The total volume of express delivery in the province stood at 2.55 billion, up 49.4 percent year-on-year and continuing to exceed the national average growth rate, while its total business revenue reached 21.09 billion yuan, up 28.1 percent year-on-year.

As new COVID-19 cases have been reported in several domestic provinces, Shandong has made strong COVID-19 containment efforts.

The Shandong Provincial Postal Administration has implemented measures needed in COVID-19 preparedness and response, organized nucleic acid tests for express delivery workers in an orderly manner, as well as strengthened supervision and inspection of the implementation of personal protective measures.
