Shandong recently released an implementation plan to build a national model in fostering modern animal husbandry.

The modernization of animal husbandry will be basically achieved by 2030 in Shandong.
"Shandong is a powerhouse in animal husbandry, with its main economic indicators being at the forefront of the country for many years. The province will focus on the construction of: an optimized, intensive, and efficient modern breeding system; a well-organized, accurate, and efficient animal epidemic prevention system; a high-end and efficient processing and circulation system; a safe and efficient feed and veterinary drug system; as well as a standardized, convenient, and efficient supervision and service system.
