The logistics headquarters of Shandong Port Group - Shandong Port Land-Sea International Logistics Group was unveiled on May 20 in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province.

Sun Shutao, mayor of Jinan, attended the ceremony.

Shandong Port Group handled 1.32 billion tons of cargo and 29.56 million TEUs of containers in 2019, ranking first and second, respectively, among ports in China.

Founded in 2019, Shandong Port Land-Sea International Logistics Group plays an important role in logistics coordination in Shandong province and in connecting ports.

The group has established 16 inland ports in Shandong and opened 66 sea-rail intermodal rail routes in 34 cities throughout China, forming a complete logistics system.

The group plans to take full advantage of Jinan's strength to gather more data resources related to customs, docks, stations, railways, and highways and establish a comprehensive platform integrating customer sharing services, network freight, integrated supply chain services, hazardous chemical transportation, and multimodal transport.

It is also expected to promote the development of six smart logistics projects involving cold chain, pulp, e-commerce, vehicles, and warehousing.

At the unveiling ceremony, a distribution center for household goods was also launched in Jinan to serve as a regional hub for the distribution of household goods and the sale of frozen foods.
