Last Shandong medical team return from Hubei

The last group of Shandong medics, who had been dispatched to help Central China's Hubei province fight the novel coronavirus, returned to Jinan, capital of Shandong, on April 6, as the epidemic has effectively been brought under control in Hubei.

The team consisted of 131 medics sent by Shandong to aid in prevention and treatment efforts in Hubei, China's key battlefield in the fight against the deadly novel coronavirus.

Liu Jiayi, Party secretary of Shandong province, and other officials welcomed the team at Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport, where the frontline heroes' return was celebrated with a water arch salute.

Liu expressed great respect and heartfelt thanks to the medical workers for their dedication and the sacrifices they made to protect people's lives, safety, and health.

According to local authorities, the medics will be put into quarantine for 14 days at designated hotels.

The 12 groups of medical workers sent by Shandong province to aid Hubei in the fight against the epidemic have all returned.
