Brian Gallagher, CEO of United Way Worldwide, said that Qingdao Multinationals Summit is just one more opportunity for China and its partners around the world to focus on the continuing development of opening up. 

Talking about the expectations of the summit, he said, "This summit is focused on economic development across countries and across regions. And I think if the summit can not only focus on the economic development, but also pay attention to the development of humanities exchanges, making people living in those countries respected and built into the development itself, then it's a positive thing."
