Good Products in Shandong to move towards globalization

The Phoenix TV's “Belt and Road” International Forum, jointly organized by Phoenix Satellite TV and the Shandong Provincial Commission of Economy and Information Technology, was held in Shandong province on April 10. 

In recent years, Shandong has viewed quality brands as key to accelerating the conversion of old and new kinetic energy. To advance the construction of a “quality strong province” and a “brand strong province”, it has set up a number of coordination and promotion organizations and put forward a series of policy measures.

By the end of 2017, Shandong had cultivated a total of 711 well-known trademarks, 1,536 famous brand products of Shandong province, 543 service brand names of Shandong province, and 37 high-quality product bases. 

Haier and Tsingtao Beer were listed among the Top 500 world brands. Hisense, Inspur, Changyu, Weichai and other old brands have been getting more attention, and many new brands such as Wego, Ruyi, Goertek and Loftexare booming. Taishan Sports, Himile Group, Changlin Machinery and Gold Phoenix are emerging as brands to look out for.

Since the establishment of the “Good Brands in Shandong” network marketing management service platform in 2013, the total number of online companies has reached 65,000. The amount of completed e-commerce transactions was 79.82 billion yuan ($12.55 billion) in 2017. The advertisement of “Good Brands in Shandong” has been watched 9 billion times nationwide. 

For brand construction, Shandong revises and improves product standards, and encourages enterprises to set standards that are higher than national and industrial levels to increase their market competitiveness.
