Located in the West Coast New Area, Qingdao Harbour Vocational & Technical College was established by the Ministry of Transport in 1975. Under the charge of the Shandong provincial education department, the college is a stated-owned full-time vocational college with 9 key majors supported by central finance and adheres to semi-militarized management. 

Based on the development needs of the port and the aviation industry, the college has opened eight specialized groups and 35 majors including modern logistics, port operations, and navigation technology, and has more than 12,000 students.
