No 4 Horqin Prairie | 科尔沁
Situated southeast of Inner Mongolia, the scenic area of Horqin Prairie includes two regions: the Hinggan League and Tongliao city. This area boasts the vast west Liaohe Plain, the rolling middle section of the Greater Hinggan Mountains with various sceneries, including the famous groups of hot springs in Arxan, deserts, forests and lakes.
It is a place where Mongolian ethnic group live in compact communities, the scenic resort has a strong style of Mongolian ethnic custom and way of life. It provides resources for developing tourism of hot spring recuperation, grassland folk custom, lake scenery, Liao cultural and archaeological study, and hilly area forestry.
The area is near Liaoning, Jilin and Hebei provinces, with modern and facilitated transport service. Ulanhot and Tongliao are the central tourism cities of this area.
