Senior Chinese legislator meets with delegation of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council

Peng Qinghua, vice-chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee, met with a delegation from Iran's Expediency Discernment Council in Beijing on Jan 9.

Both sides expressed their willingness to take the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership as a new starting point, implement the important consensus reached by the heads of the two states, and leverage exchanges between legislative bodies and political parties, so as to advance the sustained development of bilateral relations.
