Officials pledge allegiance to Constitution
Officials who were granted letters of appointment took an oath of allegiance to the Constitution at a ceremony held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on June 28, following the conclusion of the 10th session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee. Hao Mingjin, vice-chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over the ceremony.
The appointees are Huang Wei, vice-chairman of the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the NPC, and Lei Haichao, minister of the National Health Commission.
