Senior officials pledge allegiance to Constitution
The Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) held a constitutional oath-taking ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Oct 24, following the conclusion of the sixth session of the 14th NPC Standing Committee. Zheng Jianbang, vice-chairperson of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over and supervised the event.
The oath takers included Yin Hejun, who was appointed minister of science and technology, and Lan Fo'an, who was appointed finance minister.
