Inspection made on paired assistance program in Inner Mongolia

The Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) recently conducted a survey in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, to look into the progress of the paired assistance program and the collaboration of poverty alleviation with rural vitalization.

Liu Qi, secretary general of the NPC Standing Committee led a team and visited villages, needy households, enterprises, and schools in Chahar Right Frong Banner, Ulanqab city.

Liu said that the assistance resources and measures should concentrate on developing rural-feature industries and more efforts need to be made to strengthen industries with local advantages, enhance market competitiveness and promote sustainable development.

He urged for improvement of the paired-assistance mechanism and make full use of various specially supplied resources to help rural households gain greater confidence and acquire more knowledge and skills.
