BEIJING -- A group of senior Chinese legislators attended a voluntary tree planting activity in suburban Beijing on Friday.

Vice chairpersons of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee Wang Dongming, Xiao Jie, Zheng Jianbang, Tie Ning, and Losang Jamcan; deputy secretaries-general of the NPC Standing Committee; and other lawmakers planted more than 300 saplings at an afforestation site in Beijing's Fengtai District.

The NPC Standing Committee has been organizing voluntary tree planting activities for years to promote the building of a beautiful China.
