BEIJING -- The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) held a meeting of its Council of Chairpersons on Monday to hear reports on draft laws, draft law amendments, and draft plans.
Li Zhanshu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over the meeting.
The senior lawmakers reviewed reports on the revisions of a draft law on futures and derivatives and a draft amendment to the Vocational Education Law and urged efforts to further solicit opinions to improve the drafts.
They also heard draft plans on the quota of deputies to the 14th NPC for regions and ethnic groups.
