Main responsibilities

(1) Undertake the application and implementation of key informatization programs and projects for medical product regulation. Undertake the construction of the national information platform for medical product safety supervision, and organize and promote the construction of the national application information system for medical product regulation. 

(2) Carry out centralized management of

cybersecurity & informatization construction of NMPA and its affiliated institutions. Guide the local departments to carry out tasks related to the informatization of medical product regulatory system.

(3) Participate in the drafting of the construction and development plan for national informatization on regulation of drugs (including medical devices, cosmetics). Organize research on medical product regulatory information policies and establish the standard system for national informatization on medical product regulation.

(4) Be responsible for the construction of China Data Center For Food and Drug Administration, and the collection, collation, storage, analysis, utilization, monitoring, evaluation and other management work of regulatory information.

(5) Be responsible for the construction of NMPA's e-government system, and undertake the operation and maintenance of the e-government information system and provide technical support for cybersecurity.

(6) Undertake the statistical work of medical product regulation, perfect the statistical index system, carry out work for data collection, summarization and analysis, edit and provide statistical data.

(7) Carry out the research and development of medical product information products; provide information services for regulators, the public and the industry through the Internet, periodicals and other technical exchange and cooperation methods.

(8) Carry out international (regional) exchange and cooperation in the field of medical product regulatory information.

(9) Undertake other tasks assigned by NMPA and its leading group in cybersecurity and informatization.
