Chongchuan launches free vocational trainings online
Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province recently began offering online training courses to help local workers improve their skills and ensure stable employment amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.
The first live course on infant care started at 8:30 am on Feb 25, with 68 people participating. It will run for seven days.
After the virus outbreak, all courses were suspended. Schools are being encouraged to hold free online vocational skill training courses through live-streaming platforms.
Before the online training sessions began, the district's bureau of human resources and social security, along with local training institutions, made preparations in enrollment, debugging platforms, class preparations and course management.
The current course on infant care covers epidemic prevention, basics on infant care, and more. While watching the live class, students can interact with teachers, get questions answered online and watch the video recordings again if needed.
Officials at relevant supervisory departments can check the in on the courses at any time and verify that students are attending.
Other online training courses, involving dessert, tea-making, day care, and more, are expected to be offered in the near future, with the help of Chongchuan district's bureau of human resources and social security.
