We expect to leverage the advantageous location of Nantong to empower pioneering entrepreneurs and mobilize more to develop in the city, said Rupert Hoogewerf, chairman and chief researcher of Hurun Report.
Hoogewerf made the remarks at the 2024 Nantong Science and Technology Industry Collaborative Innovation Season on Nov 16. During the event, the Hurun Report and the Nantong municipal government released the Hurun China Under 35s 2024 list.
He added, "This is the second time we have compiled the U35 list, and for the next three years, we have decided to unveil the list in Nantong."
For a long time, the Hurun Rich List has been focusing on the stories of entrepreneurs, striving to discover enterprise value and promote the entrepreneurial spirit through rankings and research.
The recently released list not only provides a fresh perspective on young entrepreneurs in China but also serves as a grand stage to showcase the elite post-90s innovators in science and technology.
"A few years ago, we established the U series of pioneering entrepreneur lists, from U25 to U30, U35, and U40, aiming to encourage young entrepreneurs to think bigger and go further," said Hoogewer. "In the process, we were surprised that half of the 178 young talents who made the list hail from the Yangtze River Delta region. This makes me very optimistic about the Yangtze River Delta."
Notably, this year, three entrepreneurs from Nantong are included in the U35 list. He believes that Nantong has many entrepreneurs, and the entrepreneurial spirit in the city is very helpful in promoting entrepreneurship.
Hoogewerf also stated, "We aim to gradually attract U35 entrepreneurs from around the world to China, especially to Nantong."
