Construction of the hotel project, valued at 1.7 billion yuan ($239.45 million), in Chongchuan district, Nantong, has been completed. The facility is scheduled to commence operations by the end of November.

Covering an area of 68 mu, or 4.53 hectares, the project comprises the super-five-star Le Méridien and four-star Courtyard by Marriott. The former is the first hotel in the Chinese mainland managed by Marriott International through a franchise agreement.

The two hotels provide comprehensive accommodation and catering services, in addition to facilitating wedding ceremonies and corporate events. They have over 500 guestrooms and 16 multifunctional halls mainly designed for wedding ceremonies, accommodating more than 3,000 people at the same time for banquets and meetings. The hotels also plan to create an outdoor lawn for wedding ceremonies.
