On the evening of Oct 19, Paris' Theatre des Champs-Elysees hosted a remarkable musical event as 20-year-old Chinese-French pianist Paul Ji delivered a stunning performance in his piano recital, "A Nocturnal Stroll with Chopin".
His expressive musicality and deep emotional interpretation captivated the audience, making the concert a fitting tribute to the 175th anniversary of Chopin's passing.
Classical music enthusiasts and prominent figures from both the political and cultural spheres gathered from around the globe to witness the event. After the performance, the former jury chairperson of Marguerite Long praised Ji, saying, "It's hard to believe he's only 20. His playing is that of a master, filled with life experience and emotion."
Born in Chicago to a family from Rugao, Ji moved to France at the age of five. He began learning piano at four and was accepted into the prestigious Paris Conservatory at the age of just 14.
