On Oct 13, the first-ever "Village Super League" football tournament in Nantong came to an exciting close in the ancient town of Baipu, Rugao. The eight competing teams were made up of local farmers, workers, and teachers, showcasing a vibrant community spirit.

The event wasn't just about football, it was also a celebration of rural vitalization, featuring activities like a 100-person square dance, traditional dragon and lion dances, and Baipu's unique form of rope skipping.

The village market highlighted local crafts, including intricate redwood carvings, and offered a taste of local delicacies like Linzi cakes, crab roe and fish balls, yellow wine, and dried tofu. Premium agricultural products like selenium-rich rice and eggs were also on display.

Baipu town plans to continue integrating culture and tourism, enriching rural life and boosting its appeal as a cultural and tourist destination.
