New quality productive forces | Rudong promotes intelligent transformation in local firms
Rudong county in Nantong, Jiangsu province is making significant strides in its digital and intelligent transformation to foster new and high-quality productive forces.
Since the launch of a three-year action plan focusing on intelligent and digital transformation, the county has encouraged 645 local enterprises to complete their intelligent transformation.
At the Nantong Keshun Building Material Co Ltd, a prime example of this transformation is evident. Within the company's workshops, a single electronic screen displays real-time data from various production lines, including the number of workers on duty, daily production figures, and monthly production data.
"By creating a data application platform and fully tapping into the potential of data collection and analysis, we have achieved digitalization and intelligence in areas such as procurement management, production scheduling, quality control, production systems, warehousing and logistics, and customer management," said Zhang Hongxiang, the general manager of the company. "This has enabled more precise control over our production processes."
Currently, the company boasts a procurement arrival rate of 99 percent, a process completion rate of 100 percent, and an order on-time delivery rate at 96 percent.
Talent acquisition and development are also key components of the intelligent transformation strategy. To attract more professionals in this field, Rudong has been optimizing its talent cultivation ecosystem. The county has attracted and nurtured 584 high-level talents, provided talent loans exceeding 100 million yuan ($13.82 million), and supported 90 talent projects, with a total funding of 130 million yuan.
