In recent years, the Rudong Economic Development Zone has made significant progress in boosting technological innovation. During the first three quarters of this year, the zone initiated six high-tech projects with investments exceeding 500 million yuan ($68.33 million) each and recognized five specialized and innovative projects.

Within the zone, Jiangdong Technology Co Ltd has been actively pursuing digital transformation and established a smart manufacturing workshop, which has reduced workload intensity for employees, enhanced work efficiency, and improved product quality.

"We are the first in the industry to extensively apply LED curing energy-saving technology. Green manufacturing has reduced carbon emissions by more than 10 percent for three consecutive years," said Feng Chen, the company's production manager.

Jiangsu JLH Semiconductors Co Ltd, another high-tech company is the zone, has independently-developed third-generation silicon carbide wafers for semiconductors. Currently, the company is in the process of installing and commissioning equipment with the goal of commencing production by December of this year.
